Christmas Decorations

8 12 2007

I wanted to share some pictures of my Christmas decorations. I live in a small townhouse, but I had a lot of fun decorating even my humble home. This is the first time I’ve had my own Christmas tree, and although it’s fake, hung with cheap, plastic ornaments, and I couldn’t get a star to put on top, I’m quite pleased with the results.

Below is a picture of my fireplace mantel. It only has tinsel (our stockings are at my parents’ house). The two plates are Wedgwood Jasperware, and they are commemorative Christmas plates for 1978 and 1979, the years my boyfriend and I were born. They were an early Christmas present from my mom. Next to the plates are two framed pictures of fairies, and then on one end is a bouquet of lavender, a purple tea light hurricane lantern, and at the other end is an oil lantern. Just random stuff. Oh, and that thing hanging on it is a Crabtree and Evelyn air freshener made of sea shells.

Thanks for sharing! You did a great job and your very first tree in your own home is special. I love the lights around the door. Merry Christmas!

You home looks gorgeous all bedecked like that! I’m hoping my hubby will put our tree up while I’m away next weekend (he did tat last year, and it was a lovely surprise!).

I hope it’s not too noticeable, but about half the lights that we put up around the window and the front door are burned out. But it still looks Christmas-ey! You should post up some pictures when you get yours up! :)
